With this many years of experience, chances are, we have seen just about any market situation. Our portfolios are created and managed by people with the knowledge and experience to make complex decisions about the market.

Meet our investment team.
Chief Operating Officer
Steven is responsible for the daily operation of WealthNGen and works with our CEO, James Warring, to ensure a seamless investment experience for our clients. He also performs investment research and portfolio allocation with our director of investments, Joseph Kantakevich. Steven also serves as financial analyst and ranking member of the EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors investment committee. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Duke University.
Little known fact: Steven was a varsity swimmer during his time at Duke where he earned multiple school and ACC records.
Joseph Kantakevich, CFP®
Director of Investments
Joseph is a Certified Financial Planner and leads the Investment committee at WealthNGen. Joseph entered the financial services industry as a financial consultant at Wells Fargo Advisors. After leaving Wells Fargo Advisors, he started his own financial practice, JWK Financial Group, and joined EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors in 2012. Joseph graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BBA in finance.
Little known fact: Joseph was drafted in the 13th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur draft by the Seattle Mariners where he pitched for 3 seasons.
Tarun Mehta, JD, MBA
Chief Compliance Officer
Tarun has worked in the financial industry for over a decade. He manages the firm’s compliance program and requirements as they pertain to the SEC/FINRA regulations and monitors ongoing regulatory developments in the industry. Tarun also assists as an informal, in-house counsel to WealthNGen, assisting with legal document review and other matters. Before joining WealthNGen, Tarun was CEO of Outsource Compliance Resources, an SEC/FINRA compliance and technology/operations consulting firm. Previous posts held by Tarun include Financial Analyst and Chief Compliance Officer with R&M Wealth Management Services, LLC and Due Diligence Analyst at H. Beck, Inc. He also serves as Chief Compliance Officer at EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors in Rockville, Maryland.
Little known fact: Tarun is fluent in 5 languages and an avid chess player. (However, he is 0-3 against Steven.)
James Warring, CPA/PFS, CFP®
Chief Executive Officer
Jim brings over 30 years of investment experience to WealthNGen. Prior to launching WealthNGen, James worked in tax and wealth management in the Washington DC metro area, including KPMG (formally Peat Marwick), and Arthur Andersen (now Accenture). In 2007, he founded his own tax and wealth management firm, EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors. James attended Towson University where he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in accounting and financial planning. Jim is the 2015 Smart CEO Money Manager of the Year recipient for the Washington, DC area.
Little known fact: Jim has acquired multiple scuba diving certifications and has been on dives in multiple locations in Central America and the Caribbean.
